This listing features a rare vintage dress belt buckle, handcrafted by Cherokee Artist, Lee Epperson and it features a stunning turquoise stone over a thick bed of unique silver work. Epperson’s work is top-quality, always imaginative, using the best materials and beautifully executed. His pieces are hard to find and are becoming more sparse. Size – 2-3/8″ wide by 1-3/8″ tall. Weight – 55.5 Grams. Belt Keeper Measurements – The inner width of the belt keeper is just over 3/4″ so the buckle should hold a belt up to 3/4″ wide. Stone Measurements – The stone measures just over 1-1/4″ long (East too West) by 9/16″ wide. It sits on top of the buckle face at 5/16 high. Signed by Artist – YES, signed with Lee Epperson’s signature stamp “LEE” in a vertical overlapping fashion. Stamped Sterling – YES, tested and verified. 925 sterling silver, guaranteed. Later-Mid Century, 1970’s+. Condition – Preowned, in excellent vintage condition with original stone and naturally aged patina, ready to wear or display. Handcrafted in the later-mid century, this handcrafted belt buckle has a square checkered flag like design and features a gorgeous high grade turquoise stone. The stone is deep blue green with heavy black spiderweb matrixes running throughout. The stone is in excellent condition with no cracks or chipping and sits securely in a tall straight bezel. On the back of the buckle, the belt keeper and hook are in mint condition and perfect working order. This buckle is great for daily wear and perfect for today’s trending bohemian styles. The smaller size is very chic and looks very nice when dressed up. Its definitely a more dressier style buckle than the typical western design. This buckle is waiting to be enjoyed for now….
